Tech Prep Organization questions:

The Washington State Tech Prep Association has launched a private Tech Prep Wikipedia especially for directors and staff to answer programmatic issues and share best practices.

What agencies oversee Tech Prep in Washington, and what are their roles?
The State agencies that have an oversight role in Tech Prep are explained in the Perkins 2006 page.

What are my reporting and planning responsibilities to the state?
On the Perkins 2006 page, there are documents prepared courtesy of SBCTC that outline budget and grant reporting requirements, performance indicators that TP consortia must report, and the bi-annual TP review schedule by college.

What is the difference between the Tech Prep Association and my consortium?
The Tech Prep Director’s Association is a voluntary professional organization of the 22 consortia located in Washington State.  The Association works to develop common practices and promote the program statewide.  A consortium is a stand-alone entity that manages the Tech Prep program in a specific service district.  Tech Prep staff report to their consortium, not the Association.
